Since the CLI8/PGI5 Resetter unit was developed, Canon has revised the firmware in all current printers to make the resetting operation slightly more difficult. This has been achieved by introducing a random element to the way in which the printer accesses each cartridge. This would appear to be a reaction to the introduction of the Resetter.

In turn, this has also added a random element to the reset operation. The reset is, however, just as effective and provided you follow these simple instructions, you can still effectively reset all CLI8 and PGI5 cartridges.

Here how to use the Adjustment Program Epson TX200 or Resetter Epson TX200 to reset waste ink

* Download Adjustment Program Epson TX200 or Resetter Epson TX200

* Once download completed extract the downloaded file .
* Go to downloaded file. Run the software by clicking loader.exe. then click accept. Don’t click AdjProg.exe directly.
* Click select button to set your printer setting. Ok
* Click particular adjustment Mode to the next menu.
* Select waste Ink pad Counter.
* Checked Main pad counter or FL box counter or both. Click Initialization to reset the protection counter to the initial value.

1. Switch on printer
2. Set the pc date setting to 13 february 2007
3. Run adjprog.exe from the extracted folder
4. Click accept
5. Click particular adjustment mode
6. Go to maintenance then Select waste ink pad counter then click ok
7. Click on "check button till its done then click on initialization button then click on finish button
8. Switch off printer for 5 secs then switch on again
9. After you reset succesfully, you can change the date back to normal

Here is the Canon BJC-3000 reset process. You need to carefully follow the steps for it to work. Not to defend Canon but without the waste ink counter you will at some point end up with ink leaking from the printer.
